The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization founded in 1967 dedicated to finding the cure for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis is CCFA’s largest fundraising event. Participants raise funds and awareness throughout the year and come together to celebrate the steps that have been taken towards a cure.
The Donate Life Coalition of Michigan was formed in 1999 to promote organ, tissue and eye donation. Their goal is to encourage Michigan residents to accept organ and tissue donation as a fundamental human responsibility through public education and legislative and professional education endeavors.
The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago’s food bank, is a nonprofit food distribution and training center providing food for hungry people by distributing food through a network of pantries, soup kitchens and shelters to 678,000 adults and children every year.
Pinky Swear Foundation eases the financial and emotional impacts experienced by children with cancer and their families by providing basic needs support and during a very challenging time.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. The annual LLS Light the Night Walk funds lifesaving research and support for people battling cancer. Fundraising teams and millions of consumers help by donating at retail outlets. These efforts culminate in inspirational, memorable evening walks in over two hundred communities each fall across North America.
Meals on Wheels is a volunteer-ran program that delivers nutritional meals to seniors who cannot provide food for themselves, allowing them to remain independent.
Established in 1980, the National MS Society’s Bike MS ride is the country’s largest organized charity bicycling event series. The National MS Society offers nearly 100 cycling events between March and November every year. Money raised through Bike MS goes toward research to find a cause, cure and improved treatments for the 400,000 Americans living with MS.
Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission providing basic needs and life-changing programs for the homeless and needy. Today, Open Door Mission provides 320 men, women and children with safe shelter beds, serves more than 1,500 hot nutritious meals daily, and provides preventive measures to more than 250 families living in poverty.
