MEDICARE DISCOUNT CARDS Optional discount card programs are now available for Medicare recipients. If you are a Medicare recipient, you may be eligible for discounts on some medications if you have a Medicare-approved discount card. State Medicaid recipients with outpatient pharmacy benefits will not qualify for the discount card. If you have questions, please call: 1-800-MEDICARE. There are a variety of discount programs available, so please check to confirm that the medications you need are discounted by the card program you choose to participate in. Because of the large number of pharmaceutical sponsors in the Medicare discount card program, Amber Pharmacy is only able to provide detailed information about our participation in a plan if we know the particular card’s name. If you have questions about a specific card program, please call us with the name of the Medicare-approved discount card and we can verify whether we are a participating provider with that plan. NOTE: If you have a Medicare-approved discount card, Medicare will continue to pay for your immunosuppressive medications at 80%. The discount card will not change the 20% owed by your secondary insurance or you. |
